The Ninth Annual International Workshop on Language Production

CALL FOR POSTERS DUE APRIL 17th, 2016 (11:59 PM PDT)

University of California, San Diego
La Jolla, CA, USA
July 25-27, 2016

We are pleased to announce the 9th International Workshop on Language Production: IWLP '16. The three-day meeting will be organized around 10 invited talks (speakers listed below). This workshop brings together researchers working across diverse areas of language production, and includes seminar-style talks and ample time for discussion. These talks span all facets of language production from bilingualism, to neuropsychology, to cognitive neuroscience, to computational (psycho)linguistics. IWLP '16 also hosts a special NSF-funded session titled the State of the Art in Language Production. The workshop is co-organized by Victor Ferreira and Tamar Gollan, working together with the scientific and program committees of the workshop, listed below.

The workshop will be held at the beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art - San Diego’s La Jolla campus.

Call for Posters

All conference participants are invited to submit abstracts for the poster sessions. We welcome posters presenting theoretical, experimental and/or computational research on any aspect of normal or disordered language production. Poster submissions should be sent to iwlp2016@gmail.com with the word Abstract in the subject line. Poster abstracts should be limited to 300 words and submitted in the body of the message in plain text. Please be sure to indicate author names and affiliations in the message. Due to space limitations, we must only accept one first-authored submission per individual.

For more information on the workshop, please visit the workshop website:
    http://iwlp.ucsd.edu/

If you did not directly receive this message and you are interested in receiving further updates on the workshop, please email us at:
     iwlp2016@gmail.com

Please note.  Comic-Con 2016, perhaps the largest comic-book/movie/fantasy/etc. convention of its kind, will take place from July 21-24, 2016, the weekend preceding IWLP '16.  This will severely affect hotel availability during that weekend.  But, if you can pull it off, you may wish to try to attend both!
