PsyScope
Data Backup

Follow these instructions for transferring the data you have collected from your PsyScope experiment for safekeeping. Your supervisor will instruct you where to store the data files if the location differs from what is described below.

To access the network, you need to change the Extensions Manager control panel to Standard.

Choose Extensions Manager from the Apple menu.

Pop up PsyScope and switch it to Standard.

Click Restart.

After the machine reboots, choose ra199 from the Recent Servers Folder under the Apple menu.

Enter the user name ra199 and enter the password for the ra199 account. Your supervisor will tell you this password.

Click Connect.

The ra199 server folder will open up on the screen and the ra199 icon will appear on the desktop.

If you don't already have a folder in which to store your data, create a folder by choosing New Folder from the File menu.

Replace the name "untitled folder" with your name. Open your folder and create a folder in which to store your data files.

Drag the data files from your experiment data folder to your data folder on the server as shown in the example below. Be careful not to replace any files that already exist with the same name.

After you have safely copied the data files to the server folder, switch the computer back to PsyScope testing mode.

Go back to the Apple menu and choose Extensions Manager.

Switch the set back to PsyScope.

Click Restart.
