WHAT HAPPENS?

Visual inputs connect to auditory cortex, and the connections are functional -- “auditory cortex” responds to visual stimulation.

This only works with very young animals ---> animals who have not yet lost the naturally occurring exuberant visual connections to auditory cortex.
