An individual picture ID with the syntactic category abbreviation (act /obj) and a unique number is given to each item. Search for Dominant names (ename)
Form class (verbs vs. nouns) - as a dichotomous independent variable, with a score of 1 for action-naming items and a score of 2 for object-naming items. Syntactic category: (pnapno)
The nine semantic categories used are: people, animals, body parts of people or animals, vehicles, foods, things to wear, small artifacts, large artifacts, and objects found in nature. Semantic category: (lexcat)
The number of alternative names for each picture was determined by "Number of types" (i.e., number of different names provided on valid trials, including the target name). Number of alternative names min: max: (etype)
"Lex1dom" was defined as the proportion of all valid trials (a codeable response, with a usable RT) on which participants produced the target name. Percent Name Agreement: % Lex 1dom: min: max: (elex1)

Frequency counts were taken from the CELEX Lexical database and were Ln transformed. Ln Frequency (CELEX):  min: max: (efreq)
For our purposes here, the CDI yields a simple 3-point scale: 1 = words acquired (on average) between 8 and 16 months; 2 = words acquired (on average) between 17 and 30 months; 3 = words that are not acquired in infancy (> 30 months). Objective AOA (CDI):   min: max: (ecdi)
